Our approach

What we believe, in plain terms.

You're allowed to ask a therapy practice what it actually stands for. Here's ours, without the brochure language.

Therapy without the waiting room.

PsychSphere exists because getting psychological help in India is still harder than it should be. Finding someone qualified takes weeks. Sitting in a clinic waiting room means being seen. Fees are often quoted only after you've already committed.

So we built the practice we would have wanted: qualified psychologists, sessions online from wherever you feel private, prices published openly, and no obligation to keep coming back if it isn't helping.

We are a small team, deliberately. Every person you'll speak to is named on this site, with their qualifications listed, before you book anything.

Our standards

The four things we hold to.

Evidence comes first

Our clinical work is grounded in established, researched methods — CBT, ACT, and related approaches. If something isn't supported, we don't sell it as treatment.

The room is yours

Sessions are private and confidential. Nothing is shared, recorded, or reported without your explicit consent, save for the narrow legal exceptions we explain up front.

No two plans are the same

The first session is largely us listening. What follows is built around your history, your pace, and what you actually want to change.

Therapy should fit your week

Online sessions, Monday to Saturday, 9AM to 7PM. Reschedule without a lecture. Access shouldn't be another thing to manage.

Methods

What we actually draw on.

Therapy isn't one technique. These are the frameworks our work is grounded in — described plainly, without the jargon.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Looking at the loop between what you think, how you feel and what you then do — and finding the point in that loop where change is actually possible.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Less about arguing with difficult thoughts, more about loosening their grip so you can move toward what genuinely matters to you.

Mindfulness-based approaches

Practical attention and grounding work, useful when anxiety, rumination or overwhelm are running the day.

Person-centred practice

You set the direction. Our job is to listen properly first and build the work around what you bring, not around a template.

The process

What the work actually looks like.

Nobody tells you this part beforehand, so here it is. Every person moves at their own pace — this is the usual shape, not a schedule.

  1. 01

    The first session

Mostly us listening. Your history, what brought you here, what you've already tried. You don't need to have it organised or explained well.

  2. 02

    Finding the shape of it

Over the next session or two, a working picture emerges — what's maintaining the difficulty, and what's worth changing first.

  3. 03

    The work itself

Regular sessions with something to try between them. Progress is reviewed openly, not assumed.

  4. 04

    Ending well

Therapy is meant to finish. We'd rather talk about stopping than have you quietly drift away from it.

Being straight with you

What we don't do.

Being clear about this matters more than sounding capable of everything.

  • We are psychologists, not psychiatrists — we can't prescribe or adjust medication. Where medication looks relevant, we'll say so and help you find a psychiatrist.
  • We are not an emergency service. Sessions are by appointment and messages aren't monitored overnight.
  • We don't hand out diagnoses on request, and we don't issue certificates or reports for legal or academic purposes.
  • We won't keep you in therapy that isn't working. If someone else is a better fit, we'll tell you.

If you need help right now, please don't wait for an appointment — call Tele-MANAS on 14416 (Free, 24×7, all India) or your nearest emergency service.

Still deciding?

You don't have to be sure before you start. The first session is largely about working out whether this is the right thing for you at all.
